Marek, the Editor of this Site, is the youngest of the four. Like his father and brothers he has reduced his head burden but has compensated by adding this to his chin. Following a grammar school education at The Cardinal Vaughan School in London he initially followed his brothers direction in chemistry and dabbled in chemical engineering degree at London University but finally qualified as an architect in 1968 at The Hammersmith College of Building and Art. In those days all self respecting architects had to have beards. He pursued his profession in and around London with various architectural practices and organisations and currently is a development consultant in the social housing field.

In his younger days he was active in the Polish Scout Movement. He danced with the Oskar Kolberg Folk Dancers and played with the Domino rock band. He even got involved in acting with the Pro Arte Theatre Group. His hobbies centre around the Arts. In his spare time he dabbles in painting, craft works of various sorts, furniture restoration and DIY. He maintains his musical interests by performing with an amature choir. Although no longer undertaking any serious architectural work, he pursues his profession selectively on domestic scale commissions.

A true war baby, Marek was born in Poznan Poland one year into World War Two. The Germans had occupied the whole of Poland whilst annexing the western part (Wielkopolska), in which Poznan lay, into the German Reich itself. In can be said that, technically, Marek was born in Germany. Towards the end of the war the family left Poznan and wandered over Europe and finally arrived in England in 1947. The story of their journey across Europe was compiled by Marek and is told in "One, Two, Three, Four and a Suitcase".
